Ali Harbi Ali

Ali Harbi Ali murdered 69-year-old Sir David Amess in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, on 15 October 2021. He stabbed the MP over 20 times with a carving knife during a constituency surgery at Belfairs Methodist Church in an Islamic terrorist attack. He was born in England and had planned attacks on MPs since 2019 for the cause of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. In 2022 Harbi Ali was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
