Ashtiaq Asghar

Ashtiaq Asghar murdered 17-year-old Laura Wilson in Rotherham on 12 October 2010. He lured her to a canal and stabbed her 40 times, pushing her into the water while still alive, after she revealed their relationship to his family. A member of the Rotherham child rape gangs, he had sexually abused Laura since she was 11. His place of birth has not been made public. In 2011 Asghar was convicted and sentenced to a minimum of 17 years and six months imprisonment.
